C3DT was founded in 2017 with a single conviction: manufacturing at the unit level is broken, and it doesn't have to be. What started as a founder's refusal to accept that production had to be this complicated has evolved into an infrastructure platform now deployed across aerospace, automotive, medical, and defense.
Today, from an 18,000 sq. ft. facility in Cedar Park, Texas, we operate the EVO platform: a modular, decentralized manufacturing cell capable of every process from FFF to milling to pick-and-place. Nine years of validation. Thirty-plus validated materials. Four validated industry verticals. One mission: a mini factory in every facility.

Ethan Baehrend
Ethan Baehrend founded Creative 3D Technologies in 2017 with the conviction that manufacturing was broken at the unit level. An SME 30 Under 30 Honoree, UN COP speaker on sustainability in manufacturing, LatinX in manufacturing representative, and 10+ year additive manufacturing industry veteran. At C3DT, he leads product strategy, system architecture, and the long-term platform vision — driving toward a mini factory in every facility.
How We Got Here
C3DT founded in Illinois. First IDEX concept prototype completed.
DUO alpha build validated. Dual-toolhead architecture proven in production simulation.
DUO officially launched. First units deployed in applied R&D environments.
Incorporated and opened original Austin, TX Headquarters.
Material program expanded to high-temp composites and metal-infused filaments for defense customers.
EVO multi-modal architecture finalized. Full material validation program initiated.
Multi-modal EVO prototype finalized. Milling module validated on shared chassis. Named 3D Printer Manufacturer of the Year — Corporate LiveWire Innovation & Excellence Awards, recognized for the single-cell approach consolidating multiple manufacturing stages into one unit.
EVO pre-production platform completed. Pilot program underway across aerospace and medical customers.
